3G jet opaque Problems
Grateful for any ones help

I'm testing 3g jet opaque on bright red shirt at 350 F for 25 to 30 seconds at meduim to heavy preasure but the shirts color is showing through the print especially the white parts of the design. I don't get because i've tried the same settings on light gold and light blue shirts and they work fine.

If anyone can help thanks a lot.

Re: 3G jet opaque Problems
That's the dye from the shirt migrating into the vinyl. You get that with 50/50 blend shirts. (It's the same technique used in dye sublimation, though in your case it's an unwanted effect.)

You should use 100% cotton shirts when possible with opaque transfers -- cotton dyes don't sublimate -- or else cut back on the press time. If needed, press for shorter times, allowing the shirt to cool inbetween. You'll still get some dye migration, though, depending on the color. Red is among the most problematic.

Re: 3G jet opaque Problems
Should I lower the heat as well or stay at 350? and break up and shorten the press times

wanna change to cotton but if possible i wanted to finish my stock of cotton blend shirts.
