I just started getting into heat transfers as a small business. I bought some transfer sheets both light and dark from AC Moore. The light transfers crack easily after applied to the shirts. I work out of home and use an ink jet printer. Can anyone refer me to a place that sell's GREAT quality transfer papers and I can order from them directly and get it shipped? I also hate to pay $1 a sheet. LOL Thanks Guys
Jason, are you applying the transfer with a heat press or a home iron? If it is an iron, you are going to achieve minimal results. Also, unless you are able to purchase at least 100 sheets at a time the $1.00 price is not unreasonable.
Thanks guys, as for Ed I'm using a home iron. Does a heat press make a great difference? It adheres to the fabric well but it cracks. Where can I buy a heat press on a poor mans budget? As for Mark its a Lexmark home photo printer 6200 series.
A heat press provides much better bonding of the ink to the fibers. Higher quality inks in other printers will offer longer lasting print quality.
