Default $700+ to purchase heat press - best options

Willing to spend $700-$1400 on a 16x20 heat press.

Already purchased a 15X15 auto clamshell from US Cutter for $415 (original price $550)

Alot of reviews for best heat presses on google usually list presses under $250, not sure if that price range is the best option when looking to buy a good press the 1st go around.

here's what i been looking at

Altas 16X20 on US Cutter $700
TransPro Select Semi Auto 16 X 20 $700
and seen a few upwards of $1300

or would some btw $300-$500 be a good options.

Thank you

Easy peasy, Hix, Stahls & Geo. Knight, in no particular order. All made in the U.S.ofA. and all have outstanding support, regardless if bought new or used. You can find some bargains on Facebook marketplace, or similar.

Check out this Heat Press Nation Signature Model @$729.95. It has auto open and slide out platen. It's the one that Tshirt Chick on YouTube uses the most even though she also has the triple the price Stahls Fusion--mainly because of the auto open.

He ain't getting any of those brand new for $700. Shucks, even a used one for $700 might be in pretty bad shape. But, yeah, if budget wasn't an issue...

I'll have a Hotronix Fusion to spare soon. In your price range. PM me if interested.

I've used the Stahls Max Clamm 16*20. Solid experience, even heating no complaints

You've learned well grass-hopper. The $250 press should be purchased based on how good it will look on the curb.

There are things you MUST consider along with price. These are things you will come to wish you had. They are:
Threadable platen
Quick release platen after clamping
Quick change platen.
Dual timer press
Dispersed pressure mechanism.
Now, if you intend to press on hard surfaces, a swing away is less likely to slip the transfer.

The press is your shop workhorse and where the bottle neck is going to take place. You really need to make sure this critical piece provides space for you to move into as your business reality expands.

There are LOTS of reputable USA made presses available. Just be aware, even reputable vendors re-brand Chinese made presses on their budget models.
