Default who has a swingman? is this normal?

so just trying to wake up today, poking around and cleaning up a bit i noticed something...
in the pics you can see the blue "arm" that holds the upper platen is not parallel with the base?, its about an 1/8 inch dif from front to back..can someone with a swingman verify if this is normal or do i have a slight bend going on here??

its older, no warranty, bought second hand...im thinking good thing ive been welding and fabricating my whole life before this shirt and decal fun..think i might have to pull it apart, straighten it and weld some support in the base..

i called them for some other reason (think it was about the long stud that runs thru it) and somehow got into a convo where they the swingman15 is considered their "
hobbyist" machine and the welds are a lot weaker..anyways that wasnt the problem then but may be now

it should not be that low to start with

check your pressure knob/threaded-rod assembly to ensure it is connected properly

the base of this should be parallel with your bottom platen and not resting on the bottom like in your pics

going to document this and try to keep yall informed

heres what it looks like after i took the "arm" off, the nuts are in the same place(does it look right?i know thats not the prob but would be good to know)(yes there was a washer and a bearing on top of the nuts)

im working with one arm here so i couldnt hold my metal ruler in the pic so i used an old roll from vinyl, it is pretty square and represents what the ruler looked like..way out of wack right? should be square, 90 degress??

Welding is one of my skills, and this is really sup-optimal... BUT nothing to worry about just yet. As long as the vertical welds hold you are OK.

i am a certified welder and i agree they are not great..nothing to worry about just yet? nope, it definitely is!! its not applying the correct pressure and the pressure is uneven from back to front

i made a mothers day shirt for the wife, used easyweed stretch..she wore it to her moms that night and the bottom of the shirt the vinyl was peeling(i know why now), had to crank the hix gown alkl the way to tac back down just for vinyl..tis a major problem, i will fix or get a new bore i pump anything else out
