Default No more Epson 1430 for films...

So apparently Epson has pulled the plug on the Artisan 1430 and are now releasing the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 to replace it. Does anyone have any experience with this new printer?

The 1430 went a long time ago.

The XP 15000 is not a direct replacement. It is not a photo quality printer, which may or may not be important to your output. It won't take A3+/Super B sized paper. It also has a cock-eyed inkset that includes red and grey, so you might get stuck with Epson cartridges.

The 1430 has been relaunched as the basis of an ecotank model the L1800. Unfortunately the price has more than doubled and it is only available in limited territories such as Asia and eastern Europe.
Also the ET14000 is based on the internals of the 1430, but with a 4 colour general purpose printer configuration.
