Default Need help with distressing image

I need help with distressing or making image look vintage. I use corel x7. I did have a file that was a bitmap that was black with white dots I would put over image and right click on mouse and tap x on color pallett. The one I have now makes it to distressed. Thanks.

That is pretty much the easy way to distress and image. Are you saying that you had the file and no longer do? There are plenty of that type of file available online in different formats.

I have one now that makes it to distressed. The one I did use (had a light, med, and heavy I think) I don't have anymore.

Pick a section of the bitmap that is not too dense and distressed. Crop it with crop tool. Resample the bitmap to high resolution and enlarge the size.

Check this thread. I posted the link of the filter I used.

Depending on the art, and how I'm outputting my art, I use either a vector distress pattern in Illustrator, or I open my separations from illustrator in photoshop, and drop my distress layer over the top before I print. I have a few patterns I really like.
