Default Another newbiew

Hi all,
We are new to this but we are hoping to start our own little business selling shirts and other things like mugs, tote bags etc. We've invested in a couple of new laptops and photoshop, an Epson wf 7710, a 14inch vinyl cutter Plotter, a swing heat press with mug/hat/plate accessories.
We've got some really great designs that we've done in photoshop...obv these aren't designs that we can print using vinyl. I'm looking at the best option for printing these to sell. I've read lots of posts about JPSS and it seems to be a pretty mixed review. I am also thinking maybe it would be best to use a print on demand service where they will print your image onto the tshirt once sold however ideally wanted to do everything ourselves.

Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions on our best way to go about printing these types of images onto tshirts?

Thanks 😊
Laura

I'm a noob too, but your question is rather complex, I think for anyone to answer. First, did you intend on selling on Etsy, eBay, your own website, or what initially? You must have had some thoughts as you invested in equipment. POD will get you up and running quick, it will also take most of your margin. Would be best if you could leverage the investment you've already made in equip.

You say you can't print your designs on vinyl, are they too detailed, too many colors? I don't know if JPSS is best for your circumstance, but there are many heat transfer options.

Thanks for the reply - hoping to sell through Instagram, eBay and possibly Etsy too.
Yeah we have simple one colour designs for vinyl which should be no problem but some of our other designs have multiple colours and are quite detailed. Are there any other hear transfer options? We were looking at sublimation and are hoping to get to that eventually but wanted to get used to HTV and transfer paper first but I'm pretty nervous about using and selling tshirts which use transfer paper, I don't want to sell something that isn't going to last very well.

plastisol transfers for the multicolor (613 originals or versatranz)

jpss works very well on white 50/50 tee's
also some lighter color tee's if you have no negative space, and or a dark frame/outline around the design

We use plastisol ink and it wears well. Also, may want to look into a laser machine for mugs and such. Just a thought
