I have design ideas but sales are not really coming in now. I don't know if I should just try to sell what I have now (drop shipping) or create my shirt (buy sample then offer as preorder then order from manufacture based on preorders) Would you guys take that risk now?

I don't get it...
If you are drop shipping, then you only buy when you get an order... so where is the risk?
If you have design ideas and you need to get them printed as samples, what difference does it make? You'll have to do it at some point anyway.

For me personally is business as usual.

Aside from drop shipping I have things made in China. There is a minimum order when doing that.

Well, that's a totally different thing, but I wouldn't worry about it... PLUS you can ask your suppliers for better prices .

One of my lines is up 100% YOY, the other is down about 25%. YMMV. People are currently doing more gift buying online since they can't go out and shop.

Curious what kind of price point you can hit buying from China, and what Qty is required to do so. Some things I do via POD, the rest I screen print myself. Are your Chinese prints screen printed?

Screen prints depending on design can run around $7 each. With tags and shipping included. But I am getting custom made items I find people don't really care too much for prints in streetwear. They want something unique.

That's a bit high and basically just $2 less than what you can get in the US. If you buy 300 shirts with the same design, it should be around $3.50 especially right now. I buy Jeans from China for less than $7. I buy them without rivets and tags though, because you know the Chinese are notorious copycats.

This is true. My t-shirt and hoodie business is based on limited edition production. I do maximum 600 copies, and 90% of the time it's just 300.
