Default Injet printer transfers vs laser printer transfers

been using an Inkjet printer with 3G opaque transfer paper to print on dark t shirts. I dont like the feel of the transfer, it feel too plasticy and cheap.
My question is does a laser printer with printable films yield better results ?

Laser printing is cost-efficient and less likely to bleed after wash

I print onto dark shirts with white toner and sublimation ink with a smooth soft hand.

The short answer is not really. The longer answer is, to some extent. There is software to halftone the image, which basically puts a bunch of holes in the transfer so it is not a solid slab of toner and white base. Equipment and materials are more expensive than Inkjet. There is, as of yet, no unicorn solution for printing a low quantity of a high-color image for dark garments.

The laser toners are made up of plastic resins which is a solid.
Sublimation ink is only water and dyes and we don,t have to use break up the print to make it feel better.
You are far better off with sublimation Ink then laser toners and I am the one who originally started the laser transfers back in 2001 making then sublimation toners.

@al. (Sorry it's me again!). You keep informing us of this system you developed using white toner as a base for sublimation inks. Admittedly, it sounds like a nice idea, but I don't see any posts from people (other than yourself) who actually use this system and can supply pictures and in-depth information as to its best use.

I'd particularly like to hear from a regular user details about the costs, the 'hand,' and the vibrancy and washability compared to a print sublimated directly onto a garment.

Anyone?...
