I've sold several hundred a day many times. All face to face, I don't do online.

My shirts are for work uniforms or special events, not the same market as your T's. (Business logos and phone numbers)

How many T's do you turn in a month?

Within 24 hours period? 31 shirts! I've sold several hundred off line before. But, they're just standard orders from retail shops to stock up. I get more excited from online sales for some reason.

Doesn't sound like much, but I just started in October, so I think I'm doing pretty good!

I'm not ashamed to admit that I've not sold a single one, but I'm just getting started. BTW... Nate. Your natedidit.com site is awesome... what a clever presentation.

Hey TBaby,

I would love to check out your site and see what you offer. What kind of set up do you have to handle such a volume? (If I may ask)

Thanks

Very cool Nate. Question. The motif artwork on designs is something I'm working on since it is very hot right now. Do you use a package font type motif, custom done yourself? Also, the work on the cover page of Natedidit is awesome also. In a previous life I used to do a lot of inkwork with my rapidograph pens. Career, wife and two kids allow me very little time for the intricate work I used to do. Very cool though. I think you just sold a few more when I go back onto your site later tonight.

I usually use a combination of the two. If you go to dafont.com and myfonts.com and look up dingbats, there are a ton of free ones available. I take parts of those, outline them in Illustrator and then tweak, add to and subtract from to get the look I want. Then flip, twirl and repeat as needed.

Yeah, I love doing it. It was all done in ink with a tech pen. It one of my favorite mediums...that and scratchboard, but yeah, it is very time consuming. The splash page image there was then brought into Illustrator and vectorized to cut down on file size.

Cool! Glad you like the stuff! Do you have any of your ink work online?

Like I said, it was what seems like a lifetime ago so I don't have any online. At the time I did it, the internet was probably not even comprehendable. lol. I have a bunch of stuff in my leather portfolio so maybe I should dig it out and put in on. I used to do a lot of stipling with dot after dot after dot(very big around 1979 and 80) It would be considered vintage at this point since it's from the 80's. I graduated with a degree in design/illustration in '84, did prepress work and freelance design until getting a masters in business. Tired of working for others' so I'm trying to get back into design full-time. Pens are dusty and clogged so I'm looking for another set. To my surprise they don't seem to have gone up in price too much in the last 20+ years.
