Default Regular Men's and Women's tees vs. Unisex tees

I could really use some help!! So I've been seeking tees for a while now and I've come across several of tees, many of which have very few color selections, until I have seen a certain tee that only fits unisex. I would love to know if there happens to be a major difference between men and women tees vs unisex and if so, what is the difference. What gender does a unisex tee cater/ fit more better on? Thanks!

A Unisex tee tends to be slimmer fitting with shorter sleeves than a men's tee.

Its intent is to appeal to both men and women.

Best to order samples before you decide.

My cynical opinion is that mills save money by making one style, and now have to convince us they are doing us and our customers a favor by offering them. I've known for a long time that men and women are built different.

I bought a few samples and talked to my daughters and their friends about unisex styles they've bought. Younger, slim guys (teens and 20's) like the fit, older guys prefer a fuller cut. All of the girls (teens-30's) complained the sleeve holes were too big and the fit wasn't feminine. Buy a few samples and have your test subjects wear them to see what they think.

I haven't seen a Unisex shirt yet that wasn't too long in the sleeves, too narrow in the hips, or too long in length for most women.

As a woman, my pet peeve with unisex t's is the collar. They are too high on the neck. Women's tees have a lower neckline which is much more flattering and comfortable.

Hi , if you seek a slim fit tees, then better not to choose the unisex ones. To produce such tees, need to take care for both men and women size. As my opinion, unisex is mostly used for some events or elections etc.

I was under the impression that "Unisex" is just sales speak for "Men's" when they are too lazy to actually make a women's version.

Another thing to consider. Many (most?) women's T-shirts are aimed more at teens and anorexic models than the average woman of 21st Century America. So they end up buying a men's after returning your doily-sized American Apparel 2102.

As others noted above, sleeves are a reason women do not want to buy men's styles.

Whatever you carry, be clear about what type of figure it is intended for and have fantastic sizing charts AND bash people over the head with them at every opportunity. I've built the Bust/Waist measurements into my Size drop-down menu.
