Default Roland Print/Cut can I print white ink on the transparent media and press on darks?

I am looking into purchasing the Roland VS-540i that will print white.
We want to use the Clear transfer media and be able to print a white base and then have it print the color so I can apply it to dark garments.
My question..do any of you use this machine and have you used it like this?

I want to replace the Plastisol heat transfers that we currently use for two or more colors. This would make us more competitive in our pricing.

I don't like the look of the opaque on the shirt...it looks to much like a sticker compared to the ink transfers.

What is your opinion on printing this way for shirts?

Thanks,

Missy

Missy

When we brought our 540 a couple of years ago we were told by our salesman that the white and metallic inks would not hold up well on garments. You might check out www.myversacamm.com and see if there is anymore information there.

Hope this helps
Larry
