Expert ii 24 - incomplete/ unfinished cuts

Default Expert ii 24 - incomplete/ unfinished cuts

After reading LOTS of threads on this, I've tried pretty much everything to fix my issue and still haven't been able to. Designs that I've cut perfectly in the past are now cutting unfinished or disconnected with tiny curves, if that makes sense. When I try the Cut Test, the bottom part of the little cross curves a little. I've done the following with no luck:

-changed the cutting strip
-changed the blade
-tried different blade depths
-cleaned the blade holder/ pinch rollers/ rough parts where pinch rollers are placed
-checked for cracks on pinch rollers (none)
-lubricated the blade holder
-checked that the blade holder was fully secured in the carriage (read that someone's problem was solved by replacing the tiny pad in the carriage- did not change anything for me)
-tried different offset / pressure settings on vlcd3
-tried slowing the speed on the output screen of Great Cut

Nothing has worked. The only thing I haven't tried is buying a new blade holder because they are so expensive! I read that the Roland blade holders are only compatible with expert 24 and not expert ii 24 machines. Not sure how true that is. I've seen some on ebay, as someone mentioned on a thread, but just by looking at the image, it doesn't look like it will fit. Also, I can't imagine finding a good quality blade holder that costs less than $10. Or can I ???

I purchased this machine in early 2016 and I don't use it daily- probably once a week or every other week for small jobs. Could the problem be the blade holder or is there something else I haven't tried?

What is your software for your machine? Remove this software and reinstal itl

In most cases this helps.

I can't see this working. Let alone A different plotter may be operating fine with the same software. Why have to re install and look for your serial number , etc.



I am having a similar problem on a ar-24 where the pressure seems not to increase. cuts are there sometimes light.


I figure its a $300 machine its served its duty. Ran over $25k of vinyl through it maybe that is the mile limit on it.

This is the most because your machine's installed driver is not %100 compatible with your Windows version or the software is corrupted. In some cases UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL HELPT. (cleah install).

1- What is the software name and version you are using?
2- What is your Windows version?

yup!
sometimes windows installs updates in the background and you suddenly have a hardware conflict

also try a new connector cord from your computer to the cutter
