I think this question is a process that you can figure out the best on your own by testing different shirts for feel, print, and quality. Personally I like to use Bella Canvas. The price is a little bit higher than some shirts but my customers love the feel and durability of the shirt. If I am doing an order for a sports team or bulk order to certain customers they sometimes request Gildans because of the price difference. Just trust your gut.

I just tested a boatload of shirts from all the major players. Winner? Anvil 780. Seamed sides, soft touch, classic fit, nice collar width and height, good sleeve length. I do like the offerings from Next Level and Bella Canvas, but their body-hugging "fashion" fit isn't great if you're 1) over 20 years old and/or 2) aren't a gym rat. I'd love to see some classic fit offerings from those two brands.

Wish the Anvil 780 had a wider color selection though.

If one t shirt can be a good quality t shirt, must control its quality from yarn.
The yarn must be ring spun yarn, and combed yarn.
Then it is technology, whether used the reactive dye, whether make pre-shrunk, whether use the best printing .
The next step is how to make it. that is depending on worker's workmanship and quality controlling.
Each stitch ,each thread both have request.
This is a rough progress, the key is what kind of fabric you used and what kind of effect do you want?
Then can make a real good quality T- shirt.

Favor. When you see the rules being violated, please hit the 'Report Bad Post' button and report it to us instead of replying to or about it.

It doubles the work we have to do in deleting the bad post plus deleting/cleaning up your newly orphaned reply.

Thanks!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh! I've never done that before, so it just never even crossed my mind. I shall do it correctly in the future. Thanks!

I use either the Bella & Canvas or Next Level, but I also really like the Gildan Softstyles tees. Not as luxurious as the Next Level, but for a budget tee, I find they work well. Customers have told me that they hold their shape and don't shrink weirdly, and they are softer than the cheaper Gildan Heavy Cotton or Ultra Cotton. I find that they fit closer to the body than the other Gildans, but they are roomier than Bellas.
My husband gets my duds and wears them under collared shirts, so they get sweated in and washed often. I'm pretty pleased with how they stand up.

Ive been using Bella Canvas for all my tees but testing out some American Apparel next. Im typically a large but the bella canvas just seem alittle on the small side for most people.

I have been in the industry for 32 years. "Best" is in the eye of the beholder.

I like the Port & Company PC450 for a nice soft t-shirt that doesn't break the bank. It comes in 38 colors and is usually less than $3 each.

A nice plus is that there is a ladies version (v-neck), long sleeve, youth and even toddlers.

I've been doing tees for 8 years. Gildan 2000 is the tried and true that works for me. Fit is true to size, they hold up well, good price, etc.
dijksv likes this.
