Just saw this ad in a blank t-shirt distributor's email newsletter. And this news story: https://www.apparelnews.net/news/201...geles-apparel/

Has anyone tried Los Angeles Apparel yet? Is it truly similar to American Apparel?

I have not tried them, but I am curious.

My sense is that they are not like AA, but a somewhat new direction. A number of the styles are heavier weight. One is even 8 oz! Makes sense, as there are already so many AA "inspired" styles out there--as well as Gildan AA.

TSC carries them. Someone try them and write us a report

He hasn't changed how the shirts are modeled. It is nice they are in the Fullerton warehouse. We might try them out. AA were the best shirts we could get. Pricing is about, maybe more than what AA was.

There the same and even better he is even making them in la and not downtown. He's off 59th and central. He is even letting former American apparel employees work part time till they finally close the doors in la Mirada.
Now gildan is making the American apparel line in Honduras

Is there a big difference between the two places?

Yeah, it's still my go to brand for quality.

I still remember getting a random phone call in the late 90's from a guy (who turned out to be Dov) telling me that the boxy Hanes Beefy tees were out and that people wanted a lighter weight t-shirt. He wanted to buy advertising on a t-shirt search engine website I used to run and said he was ready to take on the big guys. I thought what he talked about was impossible, but he made it happen.

Fullterton has about a dozen styles stocked with various colors. Some colors/styles are showing 'out of stock' but they are stocked for the most part.

Still, if inventory is any indication, his flagship tee is still the 4.3oz ringspun 2001. Fullerton has over 100,000 in inventory, dwarfing all other styles.

Do they have a showroom as well?

There is another LA Apparel in downtown, lol, on Santee

I also find it interesting he says he is in 'South Central' when that name was abandoned years ago because of the gang connections.

Any updates by those who've tested them out? I follow him on Instagram and he always does live streams show casing the products and asking for input. Pretty cool to see.
