Just been quoted 2k for a repair of my shortee
Could I buy a new p600 machine and swap heads capping station etc myself is there anywhere to find more info how to do this? Any suggestions would be helpful

I would begin with OPENDTG.com.
Consider BUYING their DIY conversion manual. OPEN DTG is based on the P600.
The prognosis for success depends on your skill in following directions, solving directions not real clear and making sure you know the entire script.

This is exactly what I would do...
If you can take the printer apart and put it back together, then you can definitelly do this as well. If not, then you better off paying that $2,000 and save yourself the hassle.
