Default Monthly Consumables Required for F2100?

Hi, all-

I was talking to a sales rep for another brand of printer today and he told me Epson requires you use a certain amount of consumables every month or your warranty will be voided.

He said the total cost for these consumables was $200 and included filters, something else I don't remember and a certain amount of ink!

Did I get lied to? I think I did, but I'd like to hear what some of you F2100 owners have to say.

Oh, haha, he actually said that Epson doesn't make any money on the printer, they make all their money on consumables. If THAT were true, it seems like I could pick up an F2100 for $99 at Wal-Mart!

Best,

Chris

Best,

To put it politely - you were lied to. Epson does not require that a certain amount of consumables be used every month.

Here is the link to read the actual Epson warranty for the F2100 DTG Printer (by the way - totally biased - I think it's the best warranty in the industry):

Thanks for the reply, Harry.

Yeah, I thought at the time that he was feeding me a plate of BS. How sad.

I talked to one of your reps today, in Phoenix. I might be paying him a visit soon.

So, since I got your attention, is it true you can power off the Epson F2100 for up to two weeks without any damage to the printhead, white ink or other parts of the machine?
