the refillable cartridges are easy to use.
I found two types, one similar to the epson original (with an internal bag) and another without the bag.
The second one is more simple to refill and use, but the ink is more exposed to air.

In any case the biggest problem is to find a good replacement for the white original ink. I tried the Dupont, but seems to not work well with the epson head. In the next weeks I'll probably try firebird and Image Armor. The first one is cheaper, but I haven't found any information about compatibility with the F2000 head.
I do not recommend to you aliexpress inks or similar if you are interested to maintain a good overall quality

First of all Dupont makes a few different DTG inks with different viscosity ... https://www.dupont.com/products-and-...ment-inks.html
Most shops are selling the P5000 series, which is not ideal for the F2000/F2100 printers.

I tried the series 5000 and I found that the colors are quite compatible if you keep an high ambient humidity (at least 55-60%). White doesn't work at all instead.
Do you have experience with other DuPont series?
In any case I had big trouble with washing performance using DuPont white. The white ink cracks and peels away from the shirt after few wash.
In my tests I used the epson pretreat. I don't know if it works better with DuPont pretreat

Very inconsistent unfortunately. Different shirts need different amount of pre-treat, and different ink density. The same of course applies when using Epson ink.

You will have to test each shirt model and color individually, and build a database like this https://www.firebirdink.com/shirts-f2000/
An easier option would be to print only specific shirt models and colors.

too bad for me. Epson and IA are both really good and consistent regarding washing performance. The white DuPont is beautiful after print (better than IA for example in my tests), but really crappy after few wash.
In any case, thanks for the info

You cannot print the higher viscosity DuPont P5910 over the same amount of pre-treat as the standard Epson ink. The ink has to be able to sink into the fabric just enough to bind.

I been looking at Ink Space Dtg ink because they say you don't have to flush the OEM epson ink.

Flushing is a precaution... for just in case. Most inks are compatible.
