Our current Rip, while highly tweakable, is what we are using as a baseline and I can't remember the last time we modified any settings in the Rip and the customers rate our print quality very good. I did not do a detailed evaluation (yet) but simply took a design and printed it with different rip software to compare how they perform as we would use it in our production environment. I do plan to take another look as I am very impressed with the white highlight feature. The first observation I posted was based on an initial run but I will be doing a more diligent evaluation.
Same way I learned to use DF. Trial and error until I found my groove. When I use DF I usually don't need to touch a thing. I am sure that with some fidgeting I'll be able to do CB the same way.

As what I looked in its website information at c-breezerip.com that I realized it's only OEM software from iProofSystems.

Hi Jim,

That is 100% INCORRECT. C-Breeze RIP was written by C-Horse Software (me) and has absolutely nothing to do with iProof Systems. If there are some apparent similarities, it's because I worked for iProof Systems for many years and their current PC products are all based on my code. I left iProof several years ago and we are now "non-hostile" competitors. There isn't a single line of code in C-Breeze RIP that came from the PowerRIP software.

This is mentioned on the C-Horse Software site (click on the C-Breeze logo on the front page of the C-BreezeRIP site).

Our techs are finishing up some extensive testing with the new RIP on our F2000's and like what they see.

Smile Re: CBreeze RIP for thr F2000

Glad to see the advancements in this program it worked really well from the initial release but at the time we were already invested in DF rip and it still didn't have the white highlight available for those tricky prints that needed the extra pop. glad to see that option is available now and we are going to give this another look as everything else worked excellent!

I have a couple questions about the program. 1) I'm assuming that standard graphic files are importable? I.e., we use PNGs with Garment Creator, and I'm assuming that we can do the same with CBreeze?

2) Would we be able to export out files to a flash drive like we do with Garment Creator? We use Macs here for our design work, and to have to constantly switch between the Mac and Windows would be a time-wasting pain.

3) Re the 2nd white pass, would we be able to turn down the white settings for the underlayment, but then do a 2nd highlight pass for any white elements? I am wondering if that would actually save ink in the long run?

Yes, CBreeze can easily use .png files and other formats as well.

Not sure about the USB stick. I'll have to try it. If you can save the CBreeze file as a .gcr file then yes, it will work. I'll have to ask the software designer (Fred) about it. I'll try it myself hopefully soon when I get the time. I am a Mac guy also.

I have a cheap Lenovo Windows laptop that came with Win10 that I run CBreeze on. It just sits on the back of my Epson 24/7. Works great.

Yes, you can use a slider to turn down the amount of white ink laid down on the highlight pass.

Were you able to see if the rip could write out to a flash drive?

Thank you for your inquiry.

Yes, it can write to flash drive, network, pretty much any media or destination that Windows can.
