Thumbs up Re: What did you print on your F2000 today?

Hello Peeps,
I'm a newbie to this industrie after doing the chef thing for 25 years.
I've attached some pics of some test runs that I did for my kids on some crapy shirt fabric.
The prints where done with GC and I'm still learning the tweaking of the pretreat, ink settings, curing etc,etc...

Could you give some feedback on these or have any input, I'm open to any criticism

Cheers:)

Good. Find a niche and cook it like chicken. You are not available to everyone who wants a t-shirt printed. Work and concentrate on your niche/target market.

Pretty darn good looking prints for just starting out. They look very similar to what I did the first day or two when I got my F2000 a couple of months ago.

Are you any good with a photo editing program like Photoshop? Gimp (free) maybe?

How about a vector program like Illustrator or Corel Draw to lay out designs, lettering and stuff?

This would help indeed if you are doing your own artwork. If not find a freelance artist that will work on the cheap. Maybe a college kid or something.

Get an idea of what your printer likes and what it doesn't like. I have found that the DTG loves high detail, contrast and color. It doesn't seem to like big solid blocks of color (such as large white areas) as much as screen printing does but you can still get by with it.

Don't slack off when it comes to maintenance on your DTG. Read up in here to find out what you should do EVERY day to keep it healthy over time.

Let the world know what you have and they will come to you. Don't be shy to get the word out. When folks see a printed shirt that came from a DTG they are usually pretty astonished the first couple of times. That's good for you.

I'm still astonished and I have my own DTG.

Being winter downunder I've been doing a lot of hoodies lately. Happy to say I'm getting excellent results on 80/20 cotton/poly. Very impressed with the way NeoRIP/Kothari lays down a perfect base white in one pass on 360gms fleece.

Here's one. 100% cotton. Had to lay down more pretreatment. The pocket is a pain so I set garment to align with he shoulders and not the center pocket. ImageUploadedByTShirtForums1434983542.821277.jpg

Here are a few I did yesterday - think I finally figured out how to manipulate the color settings correctly for most part to get results I want! Super excited about that because, let me tell you, I wasted so much ink & have enough misprint & practice tees to clothe the entire country 😩 lol

Only thing I can't figure out yet is how to get brighter more vivid shades of colors(I only use GC, no RIP). Especially greens - I know you can't really get "NEON" , but I've seen quite a few members post pics that are able to achieve pretty darn close to it results! Any tips? It would be GREATLY appreciated!
