My vote is pretreat Skill. Find sweet spot.
Flushing, yes but it pays to reduce clogging.
Cheers! Beers are on me always.

thanks everyone, looking at the shirt after reading your comments it shows pretreatment and shirt type is the solution to a good print.

I tested on Gildan Heavy Cotton and Softstyle and it was a huge difference, I could only imagine the results if I'm using a better quality shirt

Also does everyone pretreat light garments also, I tested this and the result was 100x better.

Cheers,
Ryan

Here are a few test prints that I made on Friday using Garment Creator.

These images were some HD wallpapers that my daughter had. I converted all of them into PNG's in Photoshop and bumped up the contrast and color saturation for use in GC. This was my first real day getting to experiment with the F2000 and I still have a very lot to learn but I was very pleased with the results.

All pics were taken with an iPhone 6 - no flash. Everything done in Garment Creator.

Pre-treat is IA Ultra using a Speed Treater. Everything purchased from the good folks at EZ.

1.) White only print feature. Stock settings with one pass on a Gildan Ultra:

2.) Gildan Ultra. 2 Passes on the white. 20 second delay between each pass. DPI turned up to max on white and black just to see how it would work:

3.) Gildan Heavy Cotton. Local high school design I did for screen printing a while back. 2 passes on the white. 20 second delay between passes. All other settings default. T-shirt color drop out (transparent) and fade done in Photoshop. Picture taken while t-shirt was still "hooped" on the printer:

I agree dropping the CMYK straight onto an Epson pretreated light garment looks great off the printer, but give them a wash and let us know the result.

wouldn't it be the same results as a Dark Shirt? I will give it a couple of washes and see what the results are like

Also is there anyway to make the images pop more? they all look washed out when I print on the shirt. I'm currently using Gildan Heavy Cotton shirts

Also, could people show me pictures of White on a Black shirt? and what brand shirts are best for the F2000

TIA

Looks to me like you definitely have blocked nozzles / white not firing correctly in these images (can also happen if there is some cleaning system left in the system after a tube wash).

Shirt type also looks like an issue and could be issues with pre treatment, but first you need to get all the nozzles firing / white working properly.
The banding in the white is a give away to a nozzle / white issue.

Best regards

Do your research mate. Pre-emptive striking is the key to not having to put up with unhappy customers.

I'm using Garment Creator and I can't seem to get it to pause between passes. I updated the software today to the latest from 3/9/15. Any ideas on that?

I also ordered a demo of neorip - looking forward to trying that. I was told it was a free trial at the SSI show but just paid $50.00 to test it for 15 days.

Have you found the area in GC to change that setting or is it just not working after you do?

I would say to uninstall, reboot and reinstall again. Try that.

You may also want to try out the Digital Factory RIP for the F2000 which you can download as a 30 day free trial.

What is the link to the trial for Digital Factory, does it pause between passes? What is the price?

I'm not sure if we're allowed to post the link here for the Digital Factory RIP free trial download. There is a special price now on the software. I will pm you the link and the price.

You can pause between passes with it.

You will need to update the firmware on your printer as well in order to take advantage of the pause between pass feature.
