Based on the frequency of issues with these printers I would hope that Epson will adjust the policy. Based on the policy I would have already exceeded the warranty limits and my printer is only 7 months old. If they have that little confidence in their own product that they are not willing to adjust the policy this will be my last Epson printer.

Is it 3yrs Max? 1yr comes with Printer. 2times extension? Is there any warranty after 3 years? I read but not clear to me. After 3yrs? Please give us input.
Cheers! Beers are on me always.

I will be contacting the hirer ups over there and i am going to try to have them extend the warranty another year or i will get my attorney involved , as they already breached the 24 hour tech service warranty many of times for me and this printer obviously is a lemon if i have to replace heads every 2 mos!

i suggest people who are having issues do the same thing. Write letters, emails, call, whoever you can and complain until they extend the warranty for you. i will not stand by and let this happen to me as this was a big expense for our small business.

Is this problem every time on the same channel? If the suction cap is the problem you would expect drop outs random over the head I would think? If the drop out is on one channel every time and the problem persists after head replacement I think it must be the damper or air leak in the tube to the head?
I personally have 0 problems. But I have only 3000 prints on it It looks like there is about 2 or 3 people with this problem and print high volume

This is a much broader issue than 2 or 3 customers. It appears that the white ink is causing the issue with the pumping station which is why the white channels are going out. We had our print head and all of our dampers replaced and in less than 3 months the issue was back. Last time, we only replaced the pumping station and that did the trick.

I have sent a message to Epson suggesting that they evaluate the warranty policy. I will report back if I hear anything from them.

Is the pumping station in or before the head or after the suction cap?

The pumping station (this may not be the correct term but that is what I call it) is an entire assembly that includes the suction cap (so it is what the suction cap connects to). From what I gather, there are 3 primary components that come as an assembly... the print head assembly, the damper assembly and the pumping station assembly. It took our tech about 30 mins to replace each of these. The print head takes longer total time because of resetting the alignment.

Yes, you can purchase up to 2 additional years for the printer, for a max of 3 years coverage (1st year included).

They just left over here and replaced the head and dampers. we are back up and we will see how long again til we are down because this seems to be the norm for this printer. Not happy now have to catch up on 5 days of orders. I dont think they replaced the pumping station this time so only time will tell again

So was the dropout on one specific channel or all channels or random?

Honestly, if the extended warranty only covers one print head and 2 tech visits, I agree with Jmelwak's post of not wanting to continue with Epson in the future.

Odds are, after my warranty is over, I would need a replaced head in under 6 months and 2 tech visits would be used as well. The problems need to be fixed first and issues resolved before they can even attempt to put such an extended warranty out there. I am going to call and ask about this myself too as well.

The users who really abuse these printers every day seem to have the most issues at this point.

My printer is actually in service again, so hopefully my printer will be up and running soon too.

what about its air bubbles in the lines? epson doesnt degass its white ink. only the first set of carts that come with the printer. do you guys with the problems maybe shake super agressive the carts in the morning? ink starvation is very common, especially for white and i have had many different reasons for it in the past, maybe its just something very simple epson could fix. an air hose connection or something. epson should definately take a printer to the lab and see whats going on after 20.000 prints

i over shake mine thats for sure i always wondered how long they sit there at the dealer i buy them from so thats a concern.

at least someons of the same page with me on the extended warranty i would never pay extra for this and i never will after going through all this crap its pointless to have one head a year when i have gone through 3 in 9 mos resulting in 4 times the techs came out. The issues need to be fixed and fixed fast or Epson will no longer be part of our business.

My wish lists
1. Dealers can service support with Parts.
2. Dealers took over warranty part.
3. Dealers provide proper training to end user.
4. Warranty extend more than 3yrs.
5. Anything else?
Cheers! Beers are on me always.
