Not only is the price cheaper, but adding $1400 worth of ink is just truly amazing. This, plus the reduced price, plus the rebate is a complete slap in the face to all those who suffered and waited as Epson pushed back the release of their machine on two different occasions. I can see why you are upset and I am upset at Epson here with this myself.
What you should ask them is why are they using a retail pricing model in a B2B space. Pricing based on elastic and Inelastic demand is a retail model. It tells me they are not serious about the success of the average small business

I do understand why some are very upset. Also I see how happy future buyers are. No election is win by 100%. Always there are opposites.
Sun rise? Dark will disappear but gaining dark territory at other side of earth. It is same to sun. Gain and lose happens often at same time.
Already owners had advantages of ownership. Some are made way more money than rebate total of $4400. For 6 months. 733/mo. But lost reselling value while no plan to sell theirs yet. Future buyer's ROI will be shorter but they never had profits from selling shirts yet.
Interesting is this debate can be removed whenever Epson wants.
Let's look at Stock market. Will we ever could know what Fortune 500 company's plan and will do? If so we all are millionaires by now, lol. We gain and lose all the time by their move which we cannot control. So, best thing is work hard and make money fast Whatever happens out there. I will call one more customer if I have time to.
Basic of economy. You gain $$$$? Someone somewhere lost money. You lost money? Someone gained money. Even you drop money on street Someone will pick up. Lol. No one can continue only gains. Dice?

It is already Wednesday, Two more work days for this week. While so many things to finish this week.
Cheers! Beers are on me always.

Really? I mean REALLY? In EU setting minimum price limits by manufacturers for distributors is one of the major crimes. I mean major financial fees and posible jail time.

I'm stunned.

This is standard with most products in most industries. Example: Ford tells it's dealers what the lowest price they are authorized to sell their cars at. If they do not abide by those rules their dealership can be fined and even loose their dealer account with Ford. Amazon does this too...you will see sometimes that prices aren't listed until you add it to the cart. This is how they get around the "minimum published price" rules some companies impose on dealers.

It does not matter what laws are made, big corporations will come up with ways to get around them.....so it becomes just like chasing " a pig in mud" that you can never catch....

I understand the "pain" some are feeling....But the past is "history" and you need to make money in the "future"....So best get to work and you will have that 4,000.00 back very quickly...

If I had my epson now, I would spend more time marketing my product than posting on forums about how I could of saved money. Yet, I would be pissed off too, but that's more incentive to push to be a badass an produce a superior product. I'm ready for a new dtg printing contest. I'm gonna win with my F2000.

I think Walmart has done more to lower prices to
the consumer then anyone. If I were in competition
with Walmart I would hate them.

All my inkjet printer are refurbs from the Epson store.

Next to impossible for now. But close. I know all machines in and out. Many other Tsf members too. But best luck! Operator skill kicks in but car should be right for Indy 500. DPI, Picoliter sizes etc. Another hint is give time to white ink settle and smooth.
Cheers! Beers are on me always.

So do you buy now or wait to see what competition comes out with? Rumor is brother is coming out with new machine. Wish they would either come out with shirts already pretreated, pretreatment shirts or a machine where you don't have to pretreat at all. Also need to be able to print polyester shirts. Can't believe they can't come up with a ink that takes care of issues. We almost bought Epson 3 months ago at DAX show when it was $18995 glad we didn't now.

You have a valid point and I too would be very pissed off. I bought my brother 361 13 months ago and it's still selling for the same price I believe. Good luck I hope it's at least a good problem free printer. They should have at least given all the people who bought some free ink it cost them nothing.

my point exactly. I know I purchased my Epson back in May. Jerid @ Belquette has been amazing and very supportive. I'm bummed @ Epson, but life goes on. The $2000 rebate from Epson, that's something no one can control except Epson. The free ink that is part of the promo would be great if it was given to early buyers too.

something is better than nothing right?
