Cars are same. House price is more than double. At least F2000 is not double.
Beef is 3x more than USA.
Petro is 3-4 times more while EU people do not make more money than USA resident.
It is goverment not EPSON. I want to know one thing EU is cheaper. While I visit EU 10times this year include UK. Posting this from Munich Germany airport.
DuPont ink price is another example. near double.
Cheers! Inks are on me always.

EU is higher. Much higher. Quality? I went/visit both. I had my Rib cracked in EU. Lol.
Head to head. Equipments? USA better and newer.
Maybe hospital equipment also expensive.
I see house owner rate is way lower than USA. Flats(apartment) and etc. 8 cylinder car is far dream to most of EU people.
Cheers! Inks are on me always.

Health care is free in the UK, to everyone. Private options are available.
Home ownership is probably comparable to USA, although I do understand that it does not hold the same importance in continental Europe.

Car prices are comparable - on a £20k/$30k car we pay a 5-10% premium for US brands, and you pay the same premium for EU brands.

And really, how many people equate their own self worth to a V8 car? Old technology, long superseded.
We can afford to pay more for petrol. We only have four cylinders so we don't use as much.

To return the thread to a more relevant topic, imported American goods are expensive in the EU, due to import duties. But the reverse applies to EU goods in the US, for the same reasons.

Epson products tend to be similarly priced regardless of the territory in which they are sold.
The F2000 is more expensive here than in other territories.
It is to be hoped that the only reason that we are paying a premium for it is because, as it is a new, niche product it is not yet being produced in every territory, and is hence subject to import duties.

If it is for any other reason, then Epson can keep it!

Epson printers will probably always be imported products for the US and Europe as all are manufactured in Asia. Not aware of any Epson printer models produced within the US or Europe.

So less reason for the price premium in the UK!

Just landed Philadephia. We all love and proud of our own country. All countries have pros and cons. Funny thing is today is July 4th. Independent Day from UK.
However, when it comes $€£¥ still USA is the best place. I have 2014(not old technology) German car 8cyl. In Germany price is 1.5 times more on same model,(actually with 500cc smaller engine). EU Government takes money. Not manufactures.
All EPSON, not just F2000 are way more money in EU than USA. Epson 3880 is $1075 in USA = €790 = £626. But check UK price £975 = $1675. This is what I mean. So F2000 higher price tag is not Epson. Your government. Maybe get out of EU union? I read on news paper yesterday. There are no such a free. They are collecting money for healthcare from employer or different name of tax. Social insurance etc.
Cheers! Beers are on me always.

That's a bit facile.
You are comparing a discounted US price with a tax inclusive UK list price! As in the US, UK and EU list prices have little relation to the 'street price'.
Sales tax in the UK is 100% refundable to business users, so allowing for fluctuations in the exchange rate, the pre-tax list price is comparable to the $1295 US list price.

You have made some broad generalisations regarding prices, based on some items that you are familiar with in the US. Most comparable EU domestic goods are similarly priced to domestic goods in most other countries.

If the EU is so expensive then why do both Anatol and M & R manufacture here?

This is a discussion about F2000 UK owners that was posted in the Epson SureColor DTG Printers section of the forums.
