I do not have an epson but an Anajet MP5. I find that laying down any or just a trace of white is necessary when printing black. On the anarip software it automatically tones down the white when it lays the black down.

Hope this helps.

No. I just turn ours off, mostly because we are in the lightning capital of the world! I've even had ours turned off for over a week with no issues.

I've been watching the printer over an extended period of time of non-use and I can't quite determine if it's actually performing any types of cleans. I do believe it will circulate the ink. From what I can gather, it's a judgment call, but I'll look into it more.

I agree with Jerid. We shut our unit off at the end of the day. We have had it off and unused for up to 10 days with no problems.

Do you clean your capping station every time you turn it off?

will the printer prompt you to do a capping station cleaning or is this something that you just do every week?

No it won't prompt you, but it's a great practice to do it before the weekend.
