Thanks. I am thinking of making the black back board a bit smaller so it has a look of just the canvas from the sides. And I may use a 2x8 for the print. But that will get heavy.

HI ! i have done it with a zipper i just lowered my platten at first, then used 2 peaces of cardbord underneath so the zipper would sink lower in between the two cardboards , worked just fine

Just make sure it's not a plastic zipper I made that mistake when I put the hoodie in the heat press to cure

I really want to be able to print hats on this thing and not just those ugly trucker hats either.

Here is something that Livingston Systmes (the Tru-Loc platter people) offers for others. I'll bet it could be modified. Pretty cool.

ESC-Digital_engl: ESC-DTG M-Series

there was someone on here that made a hat platen specifically for the f2000 cant remember who, but look really neat and by the photos printed awesome!
