Default Impressed by Superman print from Epson DTG

I have been printing DTG since the early days of T-Jet. I just got back from the NBM show at Arlington Texas. I can honestly say the superman image that was printed by the Epson was the best I have ever seen from ANY media. Almost a 3D look. Kudos to the AA group for a great presentation.
I will wait to see if the machine is reliable but later this year I can see this machine in my lineup!

All Epson are same output capability but RIP will make all Epson output differently. Major DTG users are not understand how important RIP is. All beginners especially. Important as choose DTG machine. Maybe more when consider Ink Saving and customer gaining.
Hardest color to duplicate is Flash tone. Human skin color. Superman's face is that. This is why we choose this art.
Thank you for your Kudos. I hope I will meet you sooner.
Cheers! Inks are on me always.

Everyone here is my friend Peter. Competition shouldn't make enemies. All should be for fun. Cadlink was the only vendor who would give a free trial that I know of. I have no problems with Garment Creator for basic designs and graphics. But I do agree that when you are removing colors so the image blends into the shirt color, and doing skin tones, a RIP is the way to go... especially in a production environment... and when you can't print a dozen sample shirts to find the perfect combo. Would love to try your RIP out. I will rate it honestly. Yes I have been waiting 4+ months now for the printer. No worries though. Just got more time to learn heat vinyl and more. Ready to hit the ground running when the printer arrives though. EZ Speedtreater should show up next week and the the printer the next... hopefully.

I think that you should go with the RIP from Peter to be honest. Not saying that CADlink doesn't. Its very impressive and saves on ink cost. Both are good products though. I know who makes both and are very skilled

Anthony, CadLink is more than just a RIP. It has tools available that would not require to open up Photoshop. it can drop out backgrounds in images, like trees, grass, water, sky, etc. It also can take a small image and increase the resolution of it using fractals. These are just a couple examples of it's capability. We plan on having various settings available for the CadLink rip to give you more of a color boost or contrast. This would give the capability of having the look some are after, while being able to drop the file in a queue to give you more of a color accurate design. What happens when you boost the contrast is you lose mid tones. Some want the mid tones, and some don't mind to not have as much, (for example, detail in hair) just as long as the image looks good printed.

I believe both rips will do exceptional well and appear to be equally simple to use. I don' think the end user will have an issue with either one.

John, as for pricing, I'll have to confirm this, but it's my understanding the CadLink rip is $1,250. There are quite a few features that can be added to it, that you most likely wouldn't need for tshirt printing, but the base price is $1,250.
