David, the printer out of the box won't fit through a standard doorway, the width is 39" and the box itself is much wider. The only way to get it through a 36" door would be to turn it sideways but I'm not sure it is advisable, I'll have to find out for you. You would have to pull it out of the box first, I wouldn't recommend turning the pallet sideways, it's too heavy and wouldn't be designed to handle the weight.

I hope it can be turned for epsons sake as most retail stores only have 36" doors. Thanks for your efforts!

I am 100% sure you can pass any door. Just do it before ink is in. And don't drop or kick. LOL.
Any trouble? I will be responsible.

Here is what Epson's response was to this question:

Yes it is safe to turn to move through a doorway. Best method at this time is to put the unit on it's printhead side down, if unit has ink in it, leave it in. Remove flushing pad and plug hole with lint free cloth or alcohol wipe.

I have my 12-needle ZSK embroidery machine on a 2nd floor (loft area). Two of us lugged it up the flight of stairs. I'd like to install a DTG printer up there as well. The F2000, at first, looked like it would be no problem, from the promo video we watched. But now that I see your setup video, I'm not so sure? What is your opinion?

The Epson F2000 Printer was videoed in one of our demo rooms that has a 35 inch wide doorway to enter into. We first took the printer out of its box in our warehouse area, turned it on its side, and carried it through the doorway (we also brought the box into the room the same way, on its side, so we could video the process of taking it out of the box).

The height of the Epson F2000 is 19 inches so there should be no problem getting it into most doorways.

You'll need to remove the printer from the box first. Here's Epson's official procedure on moving the printer through a doorway:

Moving the Epson® SureColor® F2000 through a doorway of less than 39 inches
The F2000 can be inclined with the home position (print head parked side) down to an angle of 75 degrees.
The lower chassis frame should take the full weight of the printer, please do not lay the printer flat on its end cover. The recommendation is to place the lower bottom edge on a padded furniture dolly and move it through the doorway. If the unit is new, no other precautions need to be taken.
For a used unit:
  1. Leave all ink cartridges installed
  2. Remove any items from the right storage bin. The area behind the right ink door
  3. Remove the waste ink tubes and plug the rear connectors with the original plugs, being careful not to spill any ink
  4. Remove the flushing pad, clean ink underneath and plug the drain hole with a lint free cloth
  5. After setting the printer in its final place, reinstall the flushing pad and waste ink tubes
  6. Inspect the cap assembly. If ink has spilled into it, replace with new
Remember, angle the printer so the print head side is facing down. Never rest the printer completely on its side.

Moving it through a 35 inch doorway should be no problem. We have moved it through a 34 inch doorway.

I understand passing door is important but isn't it too basic to TSF members?
Intelligent as we are? Next, will we talking about what size table? Need Two person to put it on? Next will we talking about where lights should be? How we going to dispose empty cart? Next is what should we do with empty box? Endless~.
Good intention of setting up thread but I rather see in depth. IMHO.
Cheers! Beers are on me always.
