The problem is not with the DTG owner its with the customer supplied artwork! I have been shocked by what some people have brought in and asked me to print for them. Educating the customer is ESSENTIAL in this industry and the amount of time it can take versus the profit from the job can be a wash but the more educated they are the better in the long run.

I do agree that you need to have atleast a basic understanding of Photoshop or Corel before getting into this business.

Now I do understand why you said "RIP is hard to use"
Brother and Epson have own driver.
Try any RIP you will get addicted at first click.
You can take my word to bank they will cash you in.
Once hooked you cannot imagine Print without RIP.
Cheers! Beers are on me always.

PS:
Epson Dtg all same (no choice)
Rip all different (choice). Some dealer will sell at extra money some will give away but not with Epson package.
Price $300 to start ~ up to ????
Printing skill all different (your control)
Graphic skill (plus, but minimal still do same output with Pro at no prep). This is one of the reasons many people are not afraid of jump in DTG Without Master skill on graphic softwares.

I totally Agree!!
I wish I could open and print my files, most of the time I have to print a few samples and tweak the artwork to get it right which wastes ink and time.

Hey Jerid,

When you say "prep" file to fade into black... can you give us some detail as to what you mean? (It's me, Clint)

Hey Clint, with the current released version for Garment Creator, you would have to prep the file differently depending on what type of image you have. If you wanted to give me a call, I'd be able to connect to your computer and show you depending on your file. The newest version that isn't released yet will drop the black out for you.

There's more than one way to handle it.

Hello All,
I attended a demo for the Epson surecolour on Monday. I like the machine. I am currently running two CMYK only machines. Hence I have never worked with a white ink machine.
Please advise if it is possible to download a copy of the garment creator and play with it?
I understand there is no charge for it.
Thanking all in advance.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a RIP, but more of a program with a print driver. It can function similar to a RIP, but as mentioned, exclusively for the F2000.

Jerid..what version of GC do you have? I've been playing with it for the past day and I can't get it to knock the black out like you showed with the watch image. Did you modify the image in PS or something prior to importing it into GC?

Hi Jerid, does the new version of Garment Creator have any other improvements besides doing black knock outs?
