Default Beta testing the Epson SureColor DTG

I Have been testing the machine for a week now.

Solid prints, very good white ink prints (smoothest finish I have seen yet), color accuracy is very good out of the box, although it "will" benefit from a rip with profiles.

Seen a few machines in the last 5 years, this will surely throw a wrench in some wheels, price point is 19K, and prints for less than a buck.

Best thing, cure times, 45sec/340F.

Will update, eventually.

Congrats on the beta testing. One thing is for sure, Epson is setting standards. Price is $19,995.

So what is your gut feeling?
Which one is better between your Brother and Epson?
Ink cost: do not need to address.
Quality, operating, purge waste, maintenance,
Looks? Lol? By woman's view? (They usually right). If you are woman.
I just got off from Epson meeting in Philly for hours
Cheers! Beers are on me always.

You will probably have better luck getting replies to this question by posting this in the Dye Sublimation section of the T-Shirt Forums.

So the ink is from Dupont but a different formulation to their regular ink range for Epson modified DTGs?

The ink is made by Epson itself.

I'm not a woman, and have been wrong lots of times.

Both machines have their strengths, and Epson has a different aproach to printer building/selling than Brother, and I own a 782 not the new gt3 series, but yes quality is definitely better with this machine, and the build is superb. Still this printer is not production oriented, so in long print runs the brother comes on top ( quantity wise), redundancy would easily take care of that. Still saving for My aeeon though, meanwhile who knows.

The machine prints fast and consistent, but operates slow. There is a bit of waste, and is hard to get around it, but if I have to compare to the brother is cents on the dollar.

White ink maintenance is ridiculously easy, very impressed.
Mabuzi and allamerican like this.

What a disappoint on my guess was wrong on your gender.
Everyone's production rates are different.
Bother discontinue 782 because two of their current model will exceed 782's production and cheaper. AA has customer who own 782 and NeoFlex in Orange County CA. His words was same as yours.
It is very interesting to see that you were selected as beta tester and allowed publish your experiences to the public. Is it part of tease or real? Lol.
What do you mean on Operates Slow? And why?
Disappointed on inferior production rate report.
I see you noted "Quantity wise". I translate as Quality is better on Epson. Am I wrong again as on your gender? Lol. I love joking, jokes are spice on life some people hates me for this but hey~
Thank you in advace for your sharing.
If you have jobs to print you do not need to wait on Aeoon even a day.
Pick up the phone call me not Ghost Buster
Build Job quantity is first step. it is not favorite thing to watch Printer(machine) does not have a job to run.
Cheers! Beers are on me always. Xoxo?(I can get out this from your ID too)
