From my understanding, both the Epson F6070 and F7070 Dye-Sub Printers have been available and shipping for a short while already.

I cannot publish too much info, since I have an agreement with epson, but I can answer some questions.

The machine has been running for one week, new firmware included, I have put not that many prints on it ( 50 maybe), but I have my 782 to tend to and produce.

Wash-fastness is on par with my brother so I would say very good, in one week my wash tests of course are limited ( 2 washes)

"It operates Slow" is a very personal perception, it comes down to the fact that the machine waits between prints , while my brother doesn't, but we are talking seconds, so slow might be a stretch.

Agreeing to disagree, but the gt3 series does not print faster than the 782, platen for platen, this is just marketing talk, if you compare a single 782 to any 2 printers that is another story.

This machine will hit the market in the coming weeks, I'm sure by then most of your questions will be at your dealers disposal.

regards

Curious what are your ink costs are with the Brother 782? I know it's been discontinued but also curious if the 782, being a 2 platen printer, is faster then the Epson?

Yup! Unfortunately, without the dealers having printers in hand as of yet, we are all still listening intently to folks like you.

Thanks for the update!
