In warranty: free
Out of warranty, usually they ask 100-200€ (in my country)

So the printer is more expensive in Europe even if you exlude VAT. BTW how much will the printhead cost standalone ?

The printers do cost more in Europe then in the US. This is not uncommon to see in equipment.

Epson has not supplied a price for the printhead. I do not expect them to for a while as the first printers to customers will not start shipping out for 2 months and the printheads are covered under warranty.

Please keep in mind that the European warranty will differ in what is covered and the service response from the US warranty.

I think it would be very unwise to expect that you'll be able to use a cleaning cartridge on a White Edition and then flick a switch and install a second set of CMYK cartridges on the same unit in the near future.

There is no indication from Epson that they will ever offer the option to convert either edition.

I specialize in wide format and DTG. Epson makes cleaning cartridges for these kind of purposes. I'm more than sure they will have cleaning cartridges. They are a big money maker

As an Epson 9800 (8 colors) can't be converted to an Epson 9450 (identical hardware to 9800, double CMYK), I guess it won't be possible also on the F2000
(I mean officially, then of course, if you switch board/firmware if will be definitely possible)

Epson will have cleaning cartridges for the F2000 Printer. They will also be included with the printer package,

When would we be seeing the F2000 in Australia ?????
