Epson has addressed that with an air filter built into the print engine.

I was in SGIA in Orlando, I took a black t shirt sample with me, the colors are bright and I made the wash proof,
The colors stayed the same. I love it. I want that printer.

The pic was taken with the ipad, sorry for the quality, it was after I washed it. But you can still see the brightness of the colors.

The quality of the pic is not good, but in front of me looks great, I only washed one time, with other sample that I have from Dtg machines, after first wash they looks fade out a little but this one it's look the same before and after. I washed in a washing machine without consideration with other cloth.

Thanks for posting the picture. If you wash the shirt a few more times it would be great if you could please post another picture.

Wash test is not telling about Printer.
Wash stands for Chemical and Operator's Skill.
It is good to Know chemicals are good stage
Cheers! Have a nice weekend.

Cool Re: Is the Epson SureColor DTG printing at SGIA? Any photos/videos?

In consideration of the chemicals used, how did the F2000 print 'feel' before and after washing?

I ask this to get back to the end clients opinion of the print that they will be wearing

Since this is printed using a brand new ink manufactured by Epson specifically for the F2000 Printer it would be great to see you post another picture of the shirt after several washings.

Talk about washing here is way none sense. Epson will never launched Printer if there wasn't chemicals. Do not under estimate Epson.
Biggest my wonder is Service. Dtg after service requires way more attention than any other their printers out there. I know they already have Service team to other printers but I hope Epson know what they are facing into. At beginning it will be easier but when numbers are higher? While first defense is not the dealer (their policy) but Epson. I warned Tigers(AA service team) to be prepared.
Well~ time will tell. I have my big dog in this
Cheers! Beers are on me always.
