Default Needles breaking all heads all needles

Hi All,

Have a Tajima TFMX-IIC1506. Had a bird-nest on one head(5) causing a 3A6 error. Used the bar behind the machine to return knives to the correct position. The knife on that head doesn't return all the way and will break the needle if run. I turned off the head and checked other heads' knife position and made sure there is nothing stuck between. Just tried to run a different design and every head had a needle break with a 3A6 error with the knife at head 1 not returning to the correct position. Any suggestions what I should be looking for?

Thanks,
Joanne

Need to reset the knife on the head that birdnested so the others will reset and not cause needle breaks.

Hard to tell what you mean by some of what is said... or what your issue is depending on when the needles are breaking but it sounds like a few things may have happened

You may have had the alignment of the trim knife shift/bend as there are usually adjustment screw points for knife positioning (don't have tajima so cannot say for sure) but on my equipment there are screws on the knife levering arms that adjust resting position)
It also may have stripped a gear or your timing gear slipped all of these are possible issues when there is a bad enough birdsnest.

Check the hook timing. It could all be off.
