Default Melco Bravo Top Thread not Trimming

Hey guys. I have a 2012 Melco Bravo that has stopped trimming the top thread. Last week it quit trimming at all so when I investigated I found one of the two push rods was off the blade. I put the push rod back but I also went through every maintenance cleaning and lube procedure in the list. We've kept this machine like new since we owned it but why would only the bottom thread cut. The knife is less than a year old.

Check that your trimmer is working correctly. Take off the needle plate and then do a manual trim. Both the hook and trimmer blade should move. The trimmer rod hook should not come out on it's own. You can also check on the back where the trimmer rods connect to the cam. Lastly, make sure you don't have pieces of thread built up in the trimmer blade/hook assembly. That can push the hook out of the trimmer blade.
