Default Does Sublimation items require special treatment?

Hello,

I'm about to do some sock - sublimation thing. I can buy those socks made for sublimation specificly. Or - it just so happen I living just nearby sock factory. They are able to make me a custom sock made of 95%polymer +5%lycra.

Question is: Is the used material only requirement for succesfull sublimation? OR I have to do any special coating or treatment before printing?

Thank you!

No special treatment on garments - just needs to be polyester, so I assume that polymer will be ok.

Goes without saying buy a pair to test. Lycra may struggle with high temp.?

You might want to hit them with a lint roller.
