Unhappy my sublimation is rinsing out... help!!!

I am new to the sublimation business by just 2 months. And I am having a problem with some of my tshirts rinsing away in the wash while others are perfectly fine.

I use a Epson c88 printer with sublimation ink. I use Bella Canvas tshirts that are at least 40% polyester. I have my heat press set to 400 degrees and leave the press for 60 seconds.

Any suggestions on how to stop the rinse out? I'm desperate to fix this as soon as possible.

a 40% poly shirt means 60% of your ink will wash away. Is that what you're seeing?

When you sublimate on a poly/cotton blend the inks only penetrate the polyester fibres and just lie on the cotton, so that the first wash results in a large proprtion of the inks being washed away, as Splathead has posted above.

You'll only get dense, vibrant colours on light-coloured 100% polyester material, preferably pure white.

Something like the Threadfast 104A would be sort of similar to the style I consider Bella Canvas to be. It is 95% polyester.

It is pretty hard to check the catalog to find these high content polyester shirts. I also think they are pretty uncommon.

We use 100% poly shirts from Gildan, Jerzees, Sport Tek, Port Authority and have no issues.
Cotton will always wash out the sub inks.
