Question DTG Viper 2 stuck in back loading operation

we own the Viper 2 at work, for over a week now we've been in(and out) of contact with coldesi in hopes of finding a solution to our issue. The machine operating system is stuck in back loading, we have disconnected and reconnected the toggle and replaced the print head how ever we have not resolved this error. Any tips or help would be appreciated.

ex: place the platen at the front of the machine, adjust height, hit load but it comes back to the front rather to the back for normal printing mode.

How would changing the print head resolve this?

Is this a new printer, or did you buy it privately?

we were hoping it would reset the printer to throw it back into the proper loading system, it also was time to replace it. Its a little under a year old now owned by the company I am employed by.

Has anyone other than coldesi taken any covers off this printer?

No, what would you recommend doing to fix this issue?

I suspect that the eject button is broken and stuck in the "pressed" mode (or the pcb has failed and locked the button in the "pressed" mode). If you feel confident in taking the side cover off (where the load/eject buttons are fixed). You can check this by unplugging the EJECT button and then pressing the load button to see if it now stays at the back.
