Default Positive M2 Experiences??

We've been running two HM-1s for almost six years now, and they've been awesome. But I believe they are at the end of their life.

I really like the advertised features, print area, and price of the M2. ColDesi isn't perfect by any stretch, but they've been pretty good to us over the years.

Anyone having a positive experience with the M2? And if not the M2, what do you recommend?

Thanks!

I have had an M2 for four year's now. It's a good machine. Like anything it has it's issues. Our first three year's we had maybe one issue. This past year we have had three or four. Coldesi is our distributor also.
No their not perfect but they have been fair with us. We can't complain about that.

I can't stress enough the importance of keeping this machine clean. I also don't like the tight areas when you need to work on them. It's not easy.
Things you will need to do every year.
New capping station=600
New printhead=1,000
Flush white ink lines every three months. Whole machine twice a year. Ink is expensive. I'm sure it is for what your using now.
White ink 224 per liter
Color 199 per liter.

I like the M2 it prints awesome when it's working correctly. It is expensive to run and maintain the right way. I budget at least 10,000 per year. That's ink, parts etc, etc

I would like to add. I bought another M2 in Oct this year. It was a complete lemon. It didn't work right from the start. The coldesi flew a tech out and he spent 9 hours working on the machine and did not fix it. To coldesi's credit they did a machine swap. Sent me a new one and took the lemon back. I can't fault the company. They have made a huge effort to make it right. It took way to long though. 2 weeks for a tech then another 10 days for the machine swap.

This whole process is on almost a month. If I didn't have another machine I would have been out of business. That was a scary thought. That is why I bought another one. I felt too exposed with one machine.

I'm not sure at this point I would buy another one after this. I'm not faulting coldesi. I have lost a lot of faith in this machine. I know in the past five year's there are several companies coming out with DTG printers. I would check around more the next time before I committed again.
