Do a nozzle check to make sure all the color channels on your printhead are printing completely.

Wink Re: Blue is coming out purple

how old is your capping station? typically they last about 8 months on a DTG machine.

Do a head soak-a small dish that just the top of the head can sit in with non waxy window cleaner( I use a saucer). Carefully raise your bed until it just barely sits in the liquid. Let it sit with main unit off overnight. Do not leave the printer switch on! Lower it in the morning, and do 2 head cleans. If your capping station is working, and the wiper is good, your ink flow will again be good.

Hope this helps you,

If you try it, be very clear on how to do it before you begin. I have seen others dip too deep and ruin a head. All it needs to do it barely touch the liquid. The main stays on so you can raise and lower the tray, the printing portion of the machine MUST stay off until the soak is completed. This process has saved me many a head. I use the zep window cleaner from Home Depot. It lacks the wax that Windex has.

Glad it helped. For some reason, this is a well kept secret, not often shared. Usually, I go to this method any time there is a print quality issue. Banding is often cured this way.

Guess I saved you that 550 bucks for a new head, huh?

All the best,

Does this work for clogged print heads? I'm using the dtg m2 machine and I was wondering if this method would unclog the printhead using the window cleaner you used.
