First of all I am a software RIP guy. And so I have let several printers sit while I worked on color code and I have let ink dry. There is that doctor blade? That cleans the print head like a squeegee. That should be cleaned daily as it is scrapping the ink off the print head, during cleaning cyles . And letting the print head sit in cleaning solution over night a very good idea. Also the rubber around the capping station should be cleaned daily withthose wiper square shaped sponges. I think this should help. If any hardware techs want to jump in here.

Hi, what resolution do you use? For example in some rip programs if you put 1440x2880 it will print a larger side than another.

I do use the 1440. I will see if using a smaller option will help my cause

Check your Queue setting for underbase and make sure the "highlight" is set to none. This produces a shadowing effect.
