Default I've Finally Got A Dtg Printer!

Hey everyone.... good news I straight swapped my screen printing equipment for a Kiosk I thought it was a pretty sweet deal... rip, heat press and all.

Now would it be wise to get a technician down to look over the unit and make sure it's up to par or would I be wasting my cash.

Also with maintenance what are the REAL important ones which should I do everyday.

Cheers.

Congrats. Another Aussie DTG'er.

Did you swap it with the dealer or a dtg printer who wanted screen equipment?

Congrats Andy. But maybe its also a good idea to keep your screenprinting equipment (and skills). It would be an advantage to your business to be able to do both.

Hi Andy,

Congrats on your new machine Do you know if the printer was using it when you bought it from him? Was the printer printing with white ink? did you see it print before you traded? If the printer was printing with it before you traded and it hadnt been sitting un used it might be fine. Do you have extra ink for it? What exactly did it come with? hehe you are probably thinking why is she asking so many questions, well I'm asking to cover the basics once you answer whether you need to have it checked out I myself own a HM1 so I may be able to offer some advice depending on your answers. I bet you are excited to start What kind of screen equipment did you trade?

Well look forward to watching your progress with your new machine

Have fun.

Definitely get someone to give it a 'service' and then show you some prints so you have some kind of 'benchmark' for quality

I am in the process to buy from impression technology. Which RIP software did they recommend to? I am still confused which RIP to choose.

There are some new things coming out right around the corner in the next couple of days / weeks with the RIP PRO RIP. Ask the distributor as they should already know about. I personally can't say much more.

Probably Adrian, he knows these machines inside and out. Tell him Don from the States said "g'day"

Don, does it take a long time to register to DTGForum once you buy dtg machine? Because the sales rep said he himself have to wait a long time and he can not guarantee that I'll be able to join the forum as soon as I buy dtg printer.

Hi Shaoyen,

I'm not certain how the other distributors do it, but I send an email out with the invitation almost immediately up receipt of the request. Each distributor was given their own invite code to use, the actual registration on the forum should be immediate upon completion of the registration form.

Hope this helps!
