Default DTG Viper

Hi Viper users and techs,
I was just wondering if there was negative pressure in the lines, can this cause the printhead to perish or clog?
I believe the pump on the WIMS is not working correctly and there is negative pressure in the ink lines.
Regards
Viper user.

So what if the WIMS pump was connected wrongly and was actually pumping backwards, could this cause all the colours to clog in the printhead?

What happened was that I bought a Viper second hand, I got it home and thought the WIMS pump wasn't working as it should so I got a technician in. He said the WIMS unit had been modified unbeknown to me, so he decided to get a genuine board in for it. When this was put in it seemed to be working better but very fast, twice as fast as I thought it should be.
Anyway he was going to look into it and we thought it was sorted.
Then a couple of days later I noticed that I couldn't get ink through the printhead and the printhead seemed to be clogged, after I had full nozzles printing before this happened.
I had to pay for a new printhead. So then after a long time trying to get the ink back through the lines and the printhead, I called him again, and this time he said we need to replace the dampers above the head, and the filter on the WIMS unit as he thought there was a blockage somewhere, at this stage I started to see some colour coming into the White Ink bottle!
This got worse, to the stage where we have wasted a lot of ink, at my cost of course.
Just recently he realised that the pump was pumping the wrong way, and I have proof that it was spinning clockwise before he started working on it, now it is spinning anti clockwise causing all this negative pressure.
Yesterday the WIMS pump was replaced, at his cost but I am still to expect a bill for the dampers and filter that probably didn't need replacing!
Now hopefully it is fixed now, fingers crossed, but I have spent $2000 getting to this stage and I believe I should get some of what I have spent back as I had no other problems before he made the pump go backwards!! Not that I think he knew it was until the other day.
Do you think this would have caused all these other issues because I am going to take this further?
Regards

If were talking about the wims pump here , its a peristaltic pump which works by pinching the tube to cause the ink to flow ,by reversing the spin it still pinches the tube in the same position so surely it doesn't matter which way it is turning
