Remember you will have to validate the software before you can use it without it printing an additional item so contact Mesa for a good version.

For those that might not realize "YODan or Belquette (Flexi-Jet) have no affiliation with DTG and have nothing to gain by DTG or the use of the Iproof RIP.

These our open forums developed to help users regardless of who's platform they have.

It's just good Karma.

Dan & Mark,

Thanks for jumping in. Discman, I sent you a PM about getting up on the DTG Forums for support as well, I haven't seen any posts from you there, have you joined the forums?

Discman,

I am not sure which RIP came with your HM-1, there are 2 different RIP's being sold by DTG distributors, in the Americas we sell the RIP Pro, the rest of the world is split between RIP Pro and Print Pro, the link you were given was for RIP Pro. You may want to ask your distributor about RIP Por if it solves your problem, go ahead and print with the WATERMARK and see if the alighment issue goes away. It doesn't sound like a hardware issue, so it is most likely software.

Happy Printing!

Discman,

Good to hear that things are coming around for you. Sounds like the typical love/hate/love relationship we see with any new technology.

If you want cheaper ink, you need press the chemical companies that are making the inks, not the vendors. The margins on inks for this industry are much lower than typical OEM margins on concumables in other markets. When thier price to us comes down , you start to see retail prices come down.

Happy printing!

nice prices are the ones i see on dtginks website. 260$ for a lt of cyan is much better than 440$ that costs in athens. you can have much happier printing if you are in California. well, if i was in California then i would be much happier even without printing.
cheers

no, i hadn't changed to rip pro because the local kiosk dealer was telling me to buy the software although i had already paid a lot of money for the hm-1, much more than people have to pay in the states. the prices of ink he was giving me were outrageous too and his technicians had no experience on this machine so i decided to sell it. the guy who purchased it from me had seious problems with him too. the worst dtg dealer in the world is called mpaxevanidis and if you are in greece and want to get into digital printing just stay away from this person! to avoid the missalignment: his most experienced technician was telling me to hold the thing we put the t-shirt on-how is it called in english i don't know, sorry-as tight as possible while printing. to laugh or to cry? both maybe. the other technician who accompanied him told me this: oh, c'mon a little white outline is not a big problem...mesa did not answer to my asking for rip-pro e-mail, it was not so easy to get ink from yodan so bye bye hm-1. but i will be back in the dtg world soon purchasing a texjet, the greek machine that is been improving year by year and polyprint-the manufacturers- seem much more reliable than mpaxevanidis. meanwhile i do my best with my versa-camm and i go through a very hard time trying to pay off the kiosk. wow! i remember the ink it was sucking by auto head cleaning!
nightmare! anyway that was an experience! i hope to be luckier with texjet or should i forget all about dtg and open a small cafe instead during 2010 when smoking in public will be finally prohibited in greece? i hate smoke but i love music and coffee. i have the time to think and decide.
peace

hi shaoyen,
i wrote " wonderful printings on white shirts". the problem with outline i had was with printing on black shirts.
those days i decided to print only on white shirts and you can see why if you will read the other thread.
best
