Default Dtg m2

i work for a large-scale screen printing company that's looking to branch out and do some DTG work. We've been considering DTG's M2 machine but I was checking to see what people had to say about it. I did some searches but didn't really find any specifics.

Has anyone had any trouble with it clogging or breaking, needing repairs early on, etc...

tell me your story.

Look in another direction. Had a VelociJet years ago and regret the owner selling it. It's my favorite so far out of the AnaJet, Viper and the giant paper weight that sits in front of me called an M2(GT-541 doesn't count cause it can't print darks). The achilles heel of the VelociJet is the "low ink" reset procedure. A fly on the wall told me 6-8 months ago that they were working on it and may be approaching a solution.

After my post yesterday I got a call from ColDesi who helped me with some RIP settings I was not aware of. Once applying certain wave type, drop size, and pass settings the printer is running like a champ. My favorite thing so far about the M2 is the spot on registration and the return to origin time. The return to origin time is much faster than any dark shirt printer I've seen so far. Thanks to ColDesi for the Tech Support.

Hi WW

Are you talking about a DTG M2 or a VelociJet machine? I only ask as the DTG M2 does not have to do any ink resetting?

regards

GT-782 - I've found that unless you use a the machine 8 hours a day then your white ink maintenance costs are too much.
