Default Question about printing on the large platen

I have a question,

How do you guys print on the large platen? I may be just not understanding things but, when customers have designs that are too big for the 2 up platens we have to use the large platen. However, the large and XL shirts do not fit on this platen right. They are too short. If we tuck the shirts like on a normal print, there is a gap at the bottom. I will try to post some pictures here to show better what I am talking about.

I need to figure this out because if the shirt is not tucked right below the collar the print head hits the collar of the shirt on it's first swipe....

NOTE: We are using the DTG viper

Thanks

Mitch
