Default DTG Maintenance and Windows 7

Is there a software update for the DTG maintenance program, under windows 7 I can get it to load but for example when you go to head clean, there is no response from the software/printer

Hi Utero

This is the same situation as you found with your version of Print Pro, the maintenance software was created before windows 7 was released, the easiest way to run the programme is to use it in XP compatibility mode.

Best regards
Gareth

utero,

Contact SWF tech support.
One of the techs emailed me a maintenance program for the HM-1 for use under WINDOWS 7.
You don't need the dongle with this software.

It has a bunch of "advanced" features that you probably won't use either....but there is a solution.

Thanks, I'm not from the US so I don't think I'd get support from SWF. Anyway changed settings to XP compat mode and it does head cleaning now....hope rest of it works when needed

Hello,

I am having the same problem with the maintenance program and windows 7. Could you please explain how to get in working in XP mode on windows 7. I can print from the rip software but can not get the maintenance software to maintain the printer.

Thanks

Stephen

Thanks for the reply, i will try tomorrow. Had the HM1 a week and have not seen a proper print yet without problems. So frustrating!, i hope once i get it printing it will run without problems. Bit of a money pit at the moment. Thanks again.

I'm in the same boat with my HM1, once you have them working then they're great but there's a lot that can and probably will go wrong - when it does you feel like smashing the thing. Luckily there are some great people on these forums who offer great help.

Hello,

I bought the HM1 in a private sale. The engineer is Andrew from Chameleonink.co.uk. He used to work for Yes Ltd in Nottingham.

Have you found an independant supplier for the printheads etc. Been looking on youtube and it does not look to hard to replace the printhead etc.

Most of the parts are Epson so they are available from Epson parts suppliers, I'll DM you details but it's safe to say you'll be amazed at the differences in price between getting them direct and getting them from the company that sells DTG machines in the UK
