Default non-pressed DTG ?

so if you have made a EPSON based DIY DTG

then you decided to DTG w/o the use of heat presses.

1) there is special ink for this? cost diff in such inks? more clog problems or less?
2) pros n cons on durability ? washing? looks of printed shirt?
3) are these just print and just hangout to dry? or require spraying a fixer chemical? or pre-spray --> print?

thanks in advance for any feedback n tips
(oh ... i made a DTG parody based on the famous downfall clip ... go ahead have a laugh )

Your vidoe lmao !

I can't imagine today using DTG without a heat press. In my dream, I wish that would not me necessary

heat press garment to remove moisture, apply pretreat, then heat press pretreat according to brand instructions, then print, then cure, all with a heat press...

The only ink that stated no pretreatment, after more than 12 months after the introduction/annoucement, no news at all today. Maybe that do not work well.

Why no heatpress!
Everything looks much better with heat press

its just my curiosity, i have never done any DTG before

but why not air dried?

i mean like if the ink can penetrate the fibres well, so you dont get a rubbery texture on the print? or i dont make sense? lol

Firebidd inks can be cured with a infared forced air dyer. But you still need heat press for Pt it flattens the fibers.

i see

i assume that if you do not flatten it pre-print, the result will come out as mini rubbery spikes? yes?

so is there inks that do not have a rubbery "after-feel"? more watery kind? like it soaks into the fibres, or every kind of ink is certainly rubbery, and it is a matter of how rubbery it is?

DTG is feels like regular waterbased inks after one wash. Only Exception is when you lay down a really thick layer of white (but it's not recomended).
