Default Platen position to Print head?

I know there are some previous posts on this topic of how far the front part of the platen should be to the print head printing in roll mod on Epson r1800. Also once printing the white underbase on dark, when I select the color overlay it seems to wanting to pick up printing where it left off, in stead of at the
beginning of the page.. by the way I am using PowerRip ...

You need to manualy push the platen back if you don't have any aditional electronics.

Yes,, that is the way I have been doing it...however I still don't have a switch installed for the PE sensor, still working it manually ..will get to that in a day or so.. Thanks Boguslaw
