this guy is clearly ripping off many people, committing wire fraud. what im wondering si why wont the police step in when called. I believe if enough people contacted states atty in his area they may actually do something.

Has anyone contacted eBay to make them aware of this? Regardless of how the transaction occurs, he's using them to pander his wares. I think they'd be concerned.

I contacted ebay and suggested that they force classified sellers to accept PayPal in the same manner they require reg auction holders. that way there isn't any wire transfers where your cash just magically dissapears.

I would advise anyone...ANYONE who has done business with him to report him to ebay if there were problems, if enough people complain they may actually do something about it

Thank you for this info, I was interested in this printer also, but will stay away.

This does bring up an interesting question, this looks like an Artisan 1440 or 4880 printer on top of a mechanism. What would it take to make this work on your own? How would you adapt an Epson to use white ink?

I have one of these machine from John Kennedy and it works with EK Rip....I picked it and needed to see it working before I left with it...It did print...I didnt know much about how much cleaning DTG printing requires and I burned a printhead trying to clean out a clog from leaving the machine stilling idle for 2 weeks..You live you learn....I needed to replace the printhead, ribbon and the main board....Cleaning solution on the ribbon is a no no.....(purchased a few 1400's off craigslist..thank god)

The EK Rip does work great with the machine...I dont use the machine...it just sits here with distilled water in the carts...For my original reason for buying the machine didn't work...The material wont hold any type if ink i have tried.

Don't think I work for John Kennedy or anything...I live in South Florida and was very nervous to be honest to send him a $1,000 deposit after reading the boards. I was told there is no warranty but if I needed something he would give me a hand. When I needed something (a printhead and ribbon) he told me to look online to buy another 1400 and use the parts I needed).

I just happen to be looking at this machine just sitting here and thought I would see if any new ideas I could try popped up when I found this post.

So, even after it's all said and done and I do manage to get it to do what it's supposed to do, it's likely it won't produce the print that is shown on YouTube? Wonderful.

Hello Frank,
I think you read my post wrong about the machine not working. The printer works just fine...very high resolution...prints shirts just fine... I even printed a few shirts with just pigment inks to see the quality. I'm not a design / graphics guy for all that.

The whole "the machine sits idle" is because I wanted this to print on a specific medium which I can not mention on the boards.

Why what is wrong with your printer? I've had a bit of experience with this printer maybe I could help.

Mine is currently at a certified Epson repair shop in Illinois. I am waiting to hear back from them. They have solved the non-cartridge recognition problem and are now working on the RIP software issue. Using Gutenrip (which I found out from the forum is NOT a viable option for the 1430), the printer wouldn't advance correctly, printed inconsistently and just plain misbehaved. So, I am kind of in "wait to hear" mode.
